Sataplia Managed Reserve is located in Imereti near the villages of Gumbra, Banoja and Khomuli, on Sataplia hill at around 500 meters above sea level.
Founded in 1935, the reserve includes geological, paleontological, speleological, zoological and botanical monuments.
Infrastructure includes a visitor center, dinosaur footprint conservation building, exhibition hall, glass panorama view, cafes, souvenir points, organized cave paths and marked trails.
Visitors can explore dinosaur tracks, a karst cave with approximately 900 meters of tour, rock trails, Colchic forest and panoramic viewpoints.
The name Sataplia means honey place, linked to mountain bees and local honey-collecting traditions.
