Shaori Reservoir is one of Racha's most attractive landscapes and is located at about 1100-1200 meters altitude in Ambrolauri municipality.
It is the largest reservoir in Racha-Lechkhumi and Lower Svaneti, formed by damming the Shaori River in a structural basin.
The reservoir covers former basin lakes and reaches about 7.1 km in length, 2.7 km maximum width and around 14.5 meters maximum depth.
The area supports multiple activities, with fishing being especially popular. Visitors also enjoy photo spots, seasonal scenery and hiking in surrounding mountain ranges.
Shaori is especially scenic in autumn and spring, with colorful reflections and blooming landscapes.
Road access is asphalted, and the site is reachable by standard transport.
